Pamela K. Wagoner

In 2014, Pamela founded Upstream Insights, LLC, a consultancy focused on helping individuals and teams reach their leadership potential. Pamela brings three decades of human resources, learning leadership, and communications experience to Upstream Insights, LLC. She has developed a deep understanding of how to match personal motivation with organization objectives to improve alignment, organizational performance, and engagement. With a special interest in helping women move into leadership roles in companies and the community, Pamela works with individuals and groups focusing as a coach and mentor.

Prior to starting her own consulting company, Pamela was the Chief Human Resources Officer for W.R. Grace & Co (Grace). Pamela was also responsible for Corporate Communications and was Chairman of the W.R. Grace Foundation, Inc.

Before taking her position at Grace, Pamela was with Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (Host), a Fortune 500 real estate investment trust and owner of upscale hotels. She was the Executive Officer responsible for Human Resources and Employee Communications and cared for the culture of the organization.

Pamela also held senior HR positions at SAVVIS Communications, Yurie Systems, Inc., and Lucent Technologies, Inc. She also spent nearly eight years working in HR and vocational rehabilitation with at-risk youth and individuals with special needs and three years in State Government in Pennsylvania. 

She’s a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and has her Coaching Certificate from The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara.  

Pamela currently serves as the Chair of the Howard Hospital Foundation Trustees and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Howard County General Hospital.

Sarah R. Wagoner

Instructional Technology Specialist
Upstream Insights, LLC

As a professional educator, Sarah collaborates with Pamela to create engaging online professional development experiences for their clients. Sarah works as a first-grade teacher in Howard County in addition to working as Instructional Technology Specialist for Upstream Insights, LLC. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Towson with a dual degree in Special Education and Elementary Education.  Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Educational/Instructional Technology at Loyola University. As Pamela’s daughter, Sarah was raised with a strong female role model and supports Pamela’s emphasis in helping women move into leadership roles. She is excited to be part of a consultancy that combines her skills of instructional technology with her desire to help individuals of all ages reach their full potential.
